"As things stand now, I am going to be a writer. I'm not sure that I'm going to be a good one or even a self-supporting one, but until the dark thumb of fate presses me to the dust and says 'you are nothing', I will be a writer." — Hunter S. Thompson

Worst songs of all time based on the comments: - Dance Monkey (Tones & I) - Hey Soul Sister (Train) - Cheerleader (Omi) - Happy (Pharell) - Shape of You (Ed Sheeran) - We Are Young (Fun) - Heat Waves (Glass Animals) These are pop hits. People are just hating on popular things.

The elites won't let you know this, but if you delete the string after the query string operator (the "?") and leave just the preceding string (sans the query string operator), you can play TikTok videos in your web browser. Here's an example (using the TPOT video from this

I guess the tech hadn't sufficiently developed back then. That chart seems to show the rate of serial killings dropping from the 90s onwards. I think it coincides with the introduction of DNA profiling, national crime databases, and so on.

This is a bad take. Rude is a great song.

Miles Davis had some bangers. This one is good, too: "Sometimes you have to play a long time to be able to play like yourself." I keep it mind as a creative because it truly takes time to find your style and hone your voice.

There's another quote this reminds me of from John Ruskin: "Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather." Very important lesson in there.

I love a similar version of this quote from M. Scott Peck: "Until you value yourself, you won’t value your time. Until you value your time, you won’t do anything with it."

How are you all mentioning great songs in the comments? Just because a song is overplayed doesn't mean it's bad. Heat Waves is a great song (speaking as someone who was into it before it went viral).

This is partly why cancel culture became a thing. There were certain errors you couldn't punish via the courts (like saying a slur), so people invented extrajudicial means of imposing punishment (e.g., job loss).
