This will be absolutely devastating in the medical field. ~30% residents are international medical graduates & ~10k of 43k residency spots are filled by docs with H1-B visas. Previously the h-1B fee was <$5,000. No hospital will pay a $100k fee for a $55k resident salary.

Hard to explain to a layperson just how massive of a 🚩 it is to quit a 5 year residency within 6 months of graduating. This isn’t “walked away from traditional medicine”

ICU Doc here. Opioid overdoses don’t look like this. You physically can’t absorb fentanyl from an “exposure” like this. Another clue is that people who are actually overdosing don’t shout “I need narcan.” The medical term for this is a panic attack.

The media silence on this is deafening. Did he have a head CT? What did it show? Did he have stitches? Tetanus shot? The NYT ran nonstop stories about Biden’s health after the debate but can’t be bothered to report on the health of someone who was literally shot in the head?

We are now 3 days after the attempted assassination of Trump & still have not had ANY medical report from a doctor about the extent of Trump's injury. The media is committing malpractice in not demanding answers. Did Trump get stiches? How many? What was removed from the wound?

Damn. Under Trump the White House Medical Unit was a pill-mill. Thousands of ambien & provigil per month. Worse, for a clinic that doesn’t typically do procedures w/ moderate sedation they sure are they ordering prodigious quantities of morphine, fentanyl, versed, & ketamine…?

The standard prescription for Epi-Pens is 2 pens. This isn’t so you have a spare. Some anaphylactic reactions are biphasic meaning symptoms return after/despite the first dose. About 10% require a second epinephrine dose. If you need it, you want to have BOTH pens with you!

It’s shocking that the massive ecological & public health disaster in East Palestine OH isn’t the lead story on every network. Years ago I saw a man with angiosarcoma from vinyl chloride. It was unforgettable. The long term harms of exposing thousands to this will be terrible.
