- Shocker: Just learned that Elizabeth Gabler and her Fox 2000 unit, the film division behind such films as #HiddenFigures, #LoveSimon and #TheHateUGive, will not be making the move to Disney. Reversal of Disney's original plan announced in October. Wowza. What a loss.
- That was insane. Chris Rock insulted Jada Pinkett-Smith about her bald head with a joke about "G.I.Jane." (She has a hair loss condition.) Will Smith ran on stage, slapped Rock, then screamed twice loudly, "Keep my wife's name out of your fucking mouth." #Oscar

- If you watch one thing on @netflix this summer, might I suggest it be @ava's 4-part mini-series on #TheCentralParkFive. Here's my piece on her effort to tell their stories in #WhenTheySeeUs vanityfair.com/hollywood/2019…
- Excited @johngreen #turtlesallthewaydown is being turned into a film. Book is terrific and if they get it right, the light the movie will shed on OCD will be profound. Bravo.
- "Dune" is the next domino to fall. Two sources tell me WB will delay the release until Oct. 1, 2021.
- Emma Thompson's film #GoodLucktoYouLeoGrande is now eligible for consideration by @TheAcademy and others after Searchlight, which acquired the movie out of Sundance but never released it in U.S. theaters, appealed. The film opened in theaters abroad.
- Will Smith just resigned from the Academy.
