CEO, @NewGAProject + @NGPAction. Registering and engaging voters across Georgia. African-American with an equal emphasis on both. Views are mine.
- The nation is realizing what we have known all along: Georgia is a battleground state. Thanks to the relentless work done toward investing in & turning out voters of color. Senator-elect Raphael Warnock’s win is an extraordinary moment in Georgia’s & our country’s history.

- I’m supposed to be ✌🏾resting✌🏾. Just popped in to say that @SenatorWarnock, son of Savannah + Morehouse, @staceyabrams’ successor as NGP’s board chair, and Senior Pastor at Ebenezer Baptist, presided over the United States Senate today. #WhatATimeToBeAliveAmazing to see @SenatorWarnock – sworn in last week as Georgia’s first Black senator – presiding over the Senate this morning.
- The polls are now closed, but the work WILL continue. We are undoing a history of suppression and injustice in Black and Brown communities. The changes that we are now seeing didn’t happen overnight and it wasn’t solved with just one vote.
- Just hopped out of the ancestor group chat. JL said keep his name out of your mouth while you dismantle his life’s work. Barry Goldwater said he’s proud of you + hell is not as hot as ppl make it out to be. What is it that folks in Phoenix say? It’s a✌🏾dry heat✌🏾Our nation lost a civil rights giant one year ago today. John Lewis was a personal hero of mine -- a man of principle and courage, who encapsulated all the qualities of a true leader. Rest in power, my dear friend.
- That’s the tweet.I will not give up. We will not give up.
- Im so so so moved by the outpouring of love, appreciation, and encouragement. We do this for the love. Love of ourselves, families, and communities. And we do this to build power. The power to change our circumstances and shape the future of the Georgia, and our country.
GIFI don’t know, anyone got any ideas? We’ll talk about yesterday, but we’ll also spend a lot of time on Georgia, including an interview with @nseufot Big pod today- Help me wish my friend, the Dr. Who loving, 10+ books authoring, voting rights defending, history making, @Forbes 100 Most Powerful Women in 2020 list making, brilliant, hilarious, kind, generous, @staceyabrams the happiest of birthdays! ❤️🎉🎊
- New on @MSNBC: Georgia has just broken the record for turnout in a runoff election. 2,337,483 Georgians have voted so far. The previous record was 2.1 million, set in 2008.
- With Jon Ossoff’s (@ossoff) victory, there is no looking back for Georgia. We have put complacent leaders on notice: we have the power to vote you out and usher in elected officials who will honor the will of the people and address the needs of our communities.
- Honored. Humbled. HAPPY to announce that I will be a Spring 2021 @HarvardIOP Fellow. I look forward to being in community with this diverse cohort of civic leaders.
