    I was thrilled to present the initial results of my work at a workshop held at the Technical University, Braunschweig, Germany. The opportunity to connect with some of the most inspiring minds in climate security and environmental peacebuilding was truly rewarding.

    I am really flabbergasted to read the findings of this recent paper by @SGlaserSF et . al., titled “Foreign Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated Fishing in Somali Waters Perpetuates Conflict" the analysis of the paper indicated unprecedented fishing depletion in the Somali waters

    A good news is coming from Puntland High schl exams where No 1 and 6 of the top 10 students are girls. This is a plausible work by the ministry N indicates the success stories of lifting the barriers to girls access to education. Congrats to all esp girls who made to the top.

    I will be focusing on Somalia, particularly the intersection of environment, conflict, peace and security and the potential for environmental cooperation based on “Somali Xeer system” as instrument to support peace and stability. 2/4

    And by the way, although having Somali passport can be a challenge to land funding opportunity in western countries sometimes your qualifications can be your passport so, it doesn’t matter if you have a Somali passport or not because I am a Somali passport holder. #Somalia #phd.
