- This must the Green Party’s weird version of justice? What Polanski fails to mention is that Police Sergeant Kate Evans was attacked with a *sledgehammer* during the raid and suffered a fracture to her lumbar spine.Gut wrenching to see four young people jailed for direct action against an arms supplier to Israel. Years in prison for protesting to save lives in Gaza, with 'terrorism' used despite no jury convicting them of it. A truly dangerous attack on the right to protest.

Replying to @richardtgarlandMinneapolis 2020 riots: 2 dead, hundreds hurt, 1,500+ buildings damaged, and $500m in destruction. Yet we have an MLA condemning Belfast rioters but sending bail money to Minneapolis rioters. Make it make sense. - 78 children, some as young as 13, were potentially harmed at a Transgender “Health-Hub” by puberty-blocking drugs & cross-sex hormones without proper checks. Dr Chris Tibbs, MD for NHS England, said “young people were put at a high risk of harm”

Very sad news at the passing of legendary teacher Maurice McCord, an institution at Bangor Grammar for many years, whose enthusiasm for the subject inspired a love of history for generations of pupils, myself included. Condolences to his family.

Pogrom has a specific meaning. It refers to organised, state-sanctioned mass violence against a minority, historically Jewish communities, with official complicity. What happened in Belfast on Tuesday was serious, criminal and wrong. It was not a pogrom. Using that word here is"Last night we had really racist pogroms, or attempted pogroms, on the streets of Belfast." @MatthewOToole2 tells @lewis_goodall of having to drive children, whose homes were set on fire, to places of shelter. "I'm not sure that experience will leave me for a while."

Following PMQs, @GRobinsonDUP & @carlalockhart met with the PM to discuss the barbaric attack in Belfast & the need to address the border between NI & RoI. We condemn all violence. Politics must be seen to work by addressing genuine concerns about our broken immigration system.

Violence and disorder is wrong and it is counterproductive. It serves no purpose other than the destruction of neighbourhoods and to turn the focus away from where it should be. Many of us have spoken out before to highlight the issues of concern and we will continue to do so. - Not Ruth it’s not a “trope” it’s the Dublin Regulation which means that typically the first EU country of entry is the one that should process them and they should claim asylum in. Updated under the EU Migration and Asylum Pact, the principle remains the same. Facts matter.You’d think ELP would understand that anyone seeking asylum has the right to seek said asylum in their country of choice. Reiterating the “travelled through safe countries” trope isn’t helpful. Neither is Gavin shouting “deport”! Now!
- I met Ziggy today from @PetsAsTherapyUK a lovely Goldendoodle with his owner Jan up at Stormont. I’m sure he would get on with Max my cockapoo😊 I knew the value of these dogs in supporting wellbeing & mental health. I’ll now be advocating for them in my local constituency👍👍

As the parent of a child who was subjected to serious safeguarding failures during ASOSA and who is still fighting for change in regards what was allowed occur...
