My wife and I lost 4 pregnancies, the longest at 11 weeks, and then out of the blue she died. 5 days in hospital and she was gone. Consequently when I say I’m not afraid of anything anymore it’s not bravado. Not a single thing frightens me. It’s not as cool as it sounds

My beautiful wife deteriorated suddenly last night after being in hospital since Monday. She died with me by her side and I am truly, utterly, irreparably broken. She was my absolute souls mate and my entire world.

My wife had another miscarriage. Just been to confirm it. Absolutely gutted. Feels worse than the first one. Been struggling with a few things and now really low. Going to take some time to get my head right and be there for my wife. Take care of each other.

Laid my wife to rest on Wednesday. The funeral was just how she would have wanted it. Giving the eulogy is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I still can’t believe she is gone. I don’t even know where to begin picking up the pieces of my life.

Thought I was going to have some good news for you all in a few weeks. Unfortunately we found out today that my wife has miscarried at 10 weeks. I’m going to be taking a break from socials to be with her and to work through this. Heartbroken but we will get through. Take care all

My wife is up for another promotion. That would be 3 in nearly the same amount of years and from a Band 5 in the NHS to a band 8. It also takes her onto a salary that her abusive ex-husband told her she couldn’t never achieve. I’m so incredibly proud of her and her achievements.

We have the keys. My wife is already in the place running around very excited. I’m finishing work in a bit and will be going to see her. Feels bad having good news with everything going on in the world but it’s a massive, if entirely small and inconsequential, achievement for us.

Had a happy ending though. Did a merlin referral but also called the council and they sent round a support worker who filled in all the forms. Visited him a few months later and he was sorted. Told me he made a point of never shopping in that Tesco’s though.

The top skill needed to be a good police officer is communication. No one will convince me differently. If you aren’t a confident communicator, verbal and written, all aspects of the job will be very hard. Your mouth and brain will solve more problems than your fists ever will.

Spent most of Saturday and Sunday packing up my wife’s things. Up until then I’d left our room exactly as it was the day she left for the hospital. I’ve slept downstairs in the couch with the dog for 14 months. All I’ll say is, fuck that hurt. Needed to be done but fuck.
