Five years in the making… I am excited to announce my first novel, "Travel By Star" is available today in paperback (details in the replies). Inspired by the works of C.S. Lewis and Louis L'Amour, it is a story of fallen days and homeward hopes. Of sons adrift, and prodigal

May my brothers and I endeavor to enter this kind of list. Thanks for the encouragement.

Incredibly executed across the board. Everyone is all in. Craft and art melded as one beautiful indistinguishable moment. That overhead tracking shot is one of my all time favorites.

Brutal honesty. Given how ridiculously sexualized our culture is, I would almost say a young man can’t be told this soon enough.

To suddenly see, to suddenly know. To love, at the last, and find you were loved all along the way. Finished this book last night. I've never seen a more passionate breaking, nor a more patient remaking. One of the best books I've ever read.

Some moments on film are so lovingly crafted, so honest and serendipitous, they should never be remade. This scene is pitch perfect endearment.

For at least the past ten years, nearly every movie or book has been doing some variation on the same basic story. Here’s the tale, endlessly told in every quarter… Legacy hero has been removed, typically in disgrace, his previous trials and triumphs shown to be a sham. New

Without equivocation or exaggeration, I adore this movie. The script alone is brilliant (I bought a copy, I loved it so). The tone, which in lesser hands would be bungled, is here balanced flawlessly. The cast is inimitable. Truly, this is one of my all time favorite films. A

This is so hard. My only solace is to remember that I’m bound for a far green country, which in some mysterious way will gather up these lands of our wandering and return them to us. For the meek shall inherit the earth.

Perhaps the most tiresome argument in the whole panoply of atheism, as vastness alone proves anything about meaning. An oasis is relatively small compared to the Sahara desert, but it’s the difference between life and death.

Sixteen years ago, I was in the midst of a career in slow motion collapse, trying to figure out what would come next while raising my children (ages 7, 10, 14). I never saw this before today.

Getting married, raising kids, grinding away at a useful (if unspectacular) career, living in a small house, going to church, and working things out in every season has been the greatest adventure of my life. I’ve never traveled abroad. I’ve hardly left my state. I’m not highly

If I had a fortune laid aside, I would buy a patch of ground in the woods with some winding paths and a decent creek and just let people do this.
