- The most eye-opening thing in my first two weeks at @automattic is seeing just how much @photomatt contributes, both personally and financially, to the health of the WordPress project. I've been in the WordPress space for 15 years, but I was blown away by how many amazing peopleI wonder what WordPress would look like if @photomatt was not having Automattic fund 200,000 man-hours per year to the open source project. I don't know the exact cost, but with salary and benefits, that would be $15m - $20m per year. What does WordPress look like, long term,
