    One of the groups filing an amicus brief in Moore v. Harper was a nonprofit named America's Future. In 2020, the group had under $100k, but in 2021 it got $1 million from a dark money group and shifted leadership—to the Trump-pardoned Gen. Michael Flynn: readsludge.com/2022/12/06/leo…

    Remember how conservative Dems pretended to be worried about the deficit impact of the Build Back Better Act? The CBO found it would have been just $15.8 billion a year; Treasury found it would save $$. Anyway, the Space Force got $26 billion this year:

    House Democrats won't release the secretive Steering committee rules that helped Pelosi install Kathleen Rice on the Energy committee over A.O.C., and now has pushed 74-year old Gerry Connolly over A.O.C. as recommended chair of Oversight. From 2021:

    If anyone at #DNC2024 would like to tell @GovKathyHochul that the L train is down on Monday rush hour because of loss of power, and mention that Gov. Hochul unilaterally defunded the MTA by more than $15 billion, New York City could be grateful.

    House Dems voted 131-84 in a secret ballot vote to give the chair of Oversight to 74-year-old Gerry Connolly over AOC. Connolly has put out one tweet about the Jeffrey Goldberg / Atlantic bombshell today. He and his committee have not put out an IG post, reel, or YouTube video.

    Without a Green New Deal, global freshwater will be depleted (IPCC report Chapter 5). Desalinization for basic needs is expensive and hugely electricity-intensive. One Western plant for San Diego County was $1b for 10% of water needs of 3m people (plus carbon emissions). No time.

    Despite all the outcry over the lousiness of @NYTopinion work in recent years, the editors didn't care to web-search author Adam S. Hoffman, who took part in Campus Reform, which is supported by donations from the Kochs, Uihleins, Bradley Foundation, and dark money Donors Trust.
