Today I am imposing sanctions on UN Human Rights Council Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese for her illegitimate and shameful efforts to prompt @IntlCrimCourt action against U.S. and Israeli officials, companies, and executives. Albanese’s campaign of political and economic - (thread) My legal views on Christian Porter: 1) it is normal that the same conduct of a person may be subject to different legal processes for different purposes - criminal, civil, employment, disciplinary, human rights, ombudsperson, coronial etc
- (In my academic capacity) Israel's strikes on Iran are a prohibited use of force under article 2(4) of the UN Charter, an armed attack under article 51 giving Iran a right of self-defence and likely an international crime of aggression by Israeli leaders
- A friendly reminder that under Australian law, it is a crime to pervert the course of justice at the International Criminal Court, including to "obstruct, prevent or defeat" justice: section 268.11 of the Commonwealth Criminal Code
- *MEDIA ADVISORY - Ukraine/Russia: There is confusion about the international law issues, but they are strait forward: 1/ Ukraine has been “invaded” by Russia since 2014, overtly in occupied Crimea & covertly in Donbas. Russia is now expanding its illegal armed attack & aggression
