    The PCLO gene encodes a protein called piccolo presynaptic cytomatrix protein. PCLO variants (rs2877, rs61741659, rs17156844, rs550369696) have a higher frequency in reservation Indians. Could this genetic variation in PCLO be the reason so many reservation Indians get diabetes?

    Mentioning your family/tribe/people is frowned upon by traditional Natives. In 2024 my Dukha neighbors live in teepes with reindeer. Like many Mongolians, they don't give out even their name! Many name their kids Nergüi (No Name). If asked for your name, you say you have no name.
