I’ve just released @ethersproject v5.2.0, for all your custom-solidity-error and replaced-transaction-course-correcting needs. For more on what those could possibly mean, check out the latest highlights article. Feedback is always appreciated. Thanks! :)
Hey all! I’ve just put together a quick article on our @ETHCapeTown hackathon project, a Contract Wallet which retains no on-chain bytecode. Wisp Contracts: The Magical World of Create2. All feedback is welcome. :)
Rather than signing weird hashes in MetaMask, won’t you prefer signing human-readable descriptions? “Bid 4 Dai for CryptoKitty 1337?” or “Send via ZkSync 1 ether to ricmoo.eth?” Still a draft, but feedback on the discussions-to would be wonderful. :)
Heya Ethers peeps! Ethers v6 is planned for Feb 2, but I need all possible eyes on it. Please update your apps, start spare-time projects, etc. My time is 100% dedicated to it until then. Expect bugs, but also quick turn-around w/ fixed npm releases. :) docs.ethers.org/v6-beta/
The home stretch. I’m announcing today the plan to move ethers v5 out of beta in 1 week (June 12). I’d love to see more projects migrate from v4 and help flesh out anything I missed and will be quite available for help, and will be updating the docs non-stop for the next week. :)
Ahoy! I’ve finally posted my latest article! An example recovery technique to rescue the Ethereum user-base in the aftermath of a catastrophic post-quantum-computer Earth. With code. Feedback please. :)
W00t! A big week for Ethereum JS libraries! Web3.js v4, Viem v1 and now the latest version of @HardhatHQ with Ethers v6 support is out! Huzzah! As usual, I’m available for migration help on Twitter, GitHub and Discord. :)
Earlier this week my grandmother passed away at the age of 100 (joining my grandfather, 99). She will be dearly missed and was an absolutely incredible women, filled to the brim with love and always had hours of fun stories at the drop of a pin. Rest in peace, grandma. <3
1/ Ahoy! A short thread and “temperature check” on funding Ethers and its future plans. I am a developer and not a business or marketing person, so all feedback is welcome. :)
Color me a lucky papaya. A motor cycle just drove up on the sidewalk beside @yuetloo and myself and grabbed my phone after #DevConBogota. I clutched it *just* hard enough that as they pulled away, they lost grip and it fell to the ground a few feet away as they zoomed off. 🍀🍀🍀
I just wanted to send a huge thanks to everyone who has contributed to my GitCoin grant. While being paid for my effort and proving open-source sustainability is wonderful, it is the warm-fuzzy from the proof that real-world humans actually value my work that makes it worthwhile.
