    Coronavirus in the lab can be eliminated in 30 seconds using mouthwash. But this hasn't been tested in people with COVID-19. Scientists at @cardiffuni mimicked the conditions of a human naso/oropharynx passage to test brands such as Dentyl and Listerine.

    Exposing the virus to certain mouthwashes in the laboratory can kill it, though this hasn't yet been tested in a patient's saliva.

    There are a few differences between the vaccines in development. The Pfizer candidate is an mRNA vaccine, as is Moderna's, which works by getting a patient's cells to produce spikes like on the coronavirus, so the immune system responds with antibodies. sciencefocus.com/tag/coronaviru…
