To say "let's eliminate due process for the bad guys" is to fundamentally misunderstand what due process is.

- Usually when states go to court alleging federal coercion in violation of the 10th Amendment there is not a literal video of the President doing it.Gov. - I think the idea that “The President is simultaneously an institution beyond the reach of criminal law and also a private person who can file $10 billion defamation suits when he dislikes a news article” is not very sensible.
- The law he signed doesn’t mention drag performances, likely because lawyers thought they could insulate the law from constitutional challenge by not admitting its true aim. Then the Governor just… tweeted it out.
- Perhaps there would be fewer debates if ICE agents consistently wore uniforms

- If someone had told you on Jan 7, 2021, that this is where we'd be in July 2024, you'd have said it was a spectacular failure by the legal system. And you'd have been right.

- A justice who thinks a policy can go from *constitutional* to *unconstitutional* in 25yrs believes in a living constitution, whether they admit it or not.

- It is so embarrassing for the federal judiciary that there are go-to jurisdictions for filing cases to get Republican outcomes. To protect its own reputation, the judiciary should be first in line to fix this problem. Amazing that it isn’t.
