    Wow, the Colorado Securities Commissioner just fielded a question about EIP-1559 on the EthDenver livestream. And... she knew what it was about! #ETHDenver You know we've crossed the chasm when government officials know about the technical specs of your projects.

    Thursday is the big ACD(e) where we do one of the rituals that helps define the future of Ethereum: starting to pick what EIPs go into the next fork. It's always been a messy process but I think we've organically found a process that works. I call it drivers and passengers.

    I felt more fear in 2018/2019. There was a general sense the whole industry could disappear and no projects had any durable footholds. But I think the people involved back then were more prepared to handle going to zero than I think they are now.

    As a recovering ethereum core developer myself I concur. Not enough crypto and defi developers pay enough attention to their mental health and almost all would benefit from some form of therapy. Missing opportunities is sometimes the correct mental health choice.

    Four months ago I left ConsenSys because they required all employees to sign a Forced Arbitration agreement, something I feel strongly works against the interest of civil rights.

    The majority of people who understand how Ethash is compromised are #YesProgPOW. We should get off of Ethash, wether it is strong asic resistant or asic friendly is less of the issue, but broken asic resistant is the worst place to be in.

    I'm not a big fan of the Bitcoin Maximalism theory, that in the long run there will be only one blockchain and it is Bitcoin. However I do subscribe to the network effect theory, where the value of the network is worth more than the sum of its members. 1/11
