- If the US was in a war with China, and US lives were being lost, US would cut China off from energy, food, and finance. These are not things Chinese society can long do without, but US is mostly self-sufficient in. China loses fast.Looks like the military guys know what’s up. In a war with China there would be a trade embargo. Military manufacturing in the US would grind to a halt almost immediately.
