- A girl I briefly dated who was really into Michelin starred chefs told me once that without exception all her chef exes would subsist almost completely on junk food and instant noodles. I think about that a lot.
- Replying to @MyOwnVolitionMid food tastes worse than junk food and none of them have the time to cook up a fancy meal for themselves outside of work
- Top university admissions counsellor in Singapore (best track record of getting top achievers into Ivies) once said that to get into an Ivy you have to present yourself as the most fascinating zoo animal the admissions officer has seen to get in. I think about that a lot.

- So I just bought a kettlebell and this seems like as good a way as any to get a routine started. 1 like = 5 kettlebell swings with a 20kg kettlebell. I trust all of you to make me suffer as much as possible

- You know how people have a wistful nostalgia for a time they never experienced? Like how people seem to obsess over America's jazz age with ridiculous speakeasy bars? I think there's no example that's cuter and more charming than Japan's "Ivy-League Style"
- Being yourself is often misunderstood as appealing to some abstract, !non existent, notion of yourself. It’s really just not lying to yourself about what you want. Which might be harder than inventing an entire identity.
- After eating at 53 different 3 Michelin-Starred restaurants, I've finally eaten at the last restaurant on my bucket list. There is no longer any restaurant that I have a burning desire to visit at least once in my life. Odd feeling. Time to close this chapter?

- This is me after about 3 years of ~8-10 hours a week of practice. I also scored in the bottom 1% of the population for gross motor coordination. The army didn’t allow me to hold a gun or grenade for safety reasons!
