- My personal favourite was being reported to the ward manager for eating toast in an office on the ward. The apparent issue was that patients could see me eating. The reason? Our office, despite our multiple objections, had no door...Overworked, underpaid, and subjected to unnecessary hostility. An NHS doctor was prevented from accessing the ward kitchen for a simple glass of tap water. It’s no surprise so many doctors are leaving for countries where they’re valued, respected, and treated with basic dignity.

- I wasn't prepared for how hard revising for exams at 36 with two kids would be. Today I found out (on my second go!) I passed PACES. So much patience from my wife, so much help from hospital consultants (thanks so much, @gopi_doc!) Excuse me while I go cry 🙂

- Will @gmcuk change their name since by their own admission, PAs don't study medicine? Or are we just all cool with the new nomenclature despite the recent and unprecedented changes?

- Just curious - how many resident doctors 'get called a couple of times a night' and spend their on-calls sleeping? It terrifies me that in this day and age, and with all the information out there, this is still what some people believeReplying to @implausibleblog and @wesstreetingWhy nit tell the full story or did the briefing note not give that. A doctor is paid to be on call and might get called a couple of times during the night. He or she is more Likely to be asleep during part of their shift. PAs do not work overnight shifts.
