I am back with one of favourite topic - GOLD . And what a year 2024 was for GOLD ( in INR ) investors . Gold now has silently outperformed SENSEX on every timeframe over the last 20 yrs . What people miss is GOLD is also hedge against the INR currency depreciation.

Rest in Peace- Arrowhead- T84 .. I first Saw her in 2015 .. with her mother , Krishna .. and I was lucky to see her in almost all my trips in the last 10 years .. She was suffering for almost 6-9 months .. she is edged in our Memories for ever - Queen of Ranthambhore

My bike got fined for parking at Hill Road Mumbai . When I showed that there was no “ NO PARKING BOARD “ I was told .. it was parked outside the gate .. then i was told entire hill road is no parking and Board is @mybmc responsibility @MTPHereToHelp new way of harassing citizens

I have possibly the most bearish estimates on CPI inflation .. looks like the actual inflation will beat even my numbers .. my revised estimates : Q2 : 2.00-2.50% vs RBI 3.4% Q3: 2.00-2.50% vs RBI 3.9% The July numbers are tacking a sub 2% ( 1.6-1.9% ) !!

I was on the 50 bps rate cut camp .. based on my view of Inflation.. I am surprised with the change of stance to “Neutral” . My inflation numbers for FY 26 is around 3% .. I would expect another 25-50 bps rate cut .. if we get support from FED . My Q2/Q3 Inflation is ~2.5%

What a joke .. RBI’s inflation forecasting !! Just in April 25 .. RBI was expecting 3.9% for Q2 ( July to September) .. we will possibly end with below 2% average for q2 !!
