I was OOO last week as I got married to my best friend and teddy bear :)
Also my brother created a very cute video for the wedding and itβs available to watch below!
Now back to war mode for Arbitrum, Ethereum and rollups.
lfg!!!
It is time to fix the crypto talent shortage.
I am launching a free 8 week course on cryptocurrencies with a special focus on layer-2 protocols.
Hopefully I can help the mass-exodus of web2 into web3 companies.
It'll start Q1 next year - sign up today:
I find it incredible that Vitalik, as a founder of Ethereum, only received around ~553k ether (~0.7% of the total supply) and overtime his share was diluted to ~0.47% due to the block subsidy.
How many founders only takes <1% share of their venture? I can't think of any.
Crypto has a talent shortage that money can't fix.
Over the coming 3-4 months, I am planning to launch a free 8 week course on cryptocurrencies with a special focus on layer-2 protocols.
Hopefully help towards the mass-exodus of web2 into web3 companies.
"I believe there will be another cryptocurrency that will be as large as bitcoin someday."
Crowd boos.
"It is no different than Uber and Lyft".
wow. genuinely mind blown he said that on the main-stage.

I asked the following questions at meet-ups in Kenya and Nigeria:
Who gets paid in crypto?
-> 80% of people raised their hand
Who gets paid in local currency?
-> 5% of people raised their hand
Who prefers crypto (btc, eth, et al) over stable coins?
-> 2-5 people raised
Ethereum (and the EF) provided the time, space, and money for the community to learn how to scale blockchain systems.
It'll soon be time for Rollups to take care of Ethereum and support the next set of innovations that brings DeFi to the mainstream audience.

Linux powers 90%+ of the web.
Why? It is permissionless and open source. Anyone can contribute, download, install and run.
Cryptocurrencies is on the exact same path, except it'll power 90%+ of the global and open source financial system.
We are just 1 generation away.
Ethereumβs DeFi ecosystem held up without any hiccups.
There is no other financial platform that can survive across the board 50% drops without human intervention.
Good job everyone. You have built something that really works better than the classical system.
Still bullish.
I am pleased to announce that I am joining the Arbitrum Foundation (@arbitrum) working on behalf of the community and hopefully contribute towards the scalability of Ethereum.
I put together a blog post on Why Arbitrum? and I hope you enjoy it.
