    Sebastian Vettel is a first rate human being. If he hadn’t seen a 👍 from Lando no doubt he would’ve parked his Aston, got out and helped LN until the medical team arrived. Right about Q3, too.

    Whether you knew of him or not, spare a thought tonight for Anthoine Hubert, who lost his life following an accident in the F2 race at Spa. Last yr’s GP3 (F3) champion, his talent would surely have taken him to F1. Instead he’s been taken from the world, aged 22. Desperately sad.

    Niki Lauda was one of a kind. To live through so much, to achieve so much and to do it with a twinkle in the eye, glinting under that red cap. He was different class - Thoughts with his family, friends and colleagues. Remember him with a smile.

    Sebastian Vettel always said he joined Ferrari to win a championship in red and wanted to stay to ‘finish the job’. It would be sad if that dream ended, unfulfilled. Ferrari’s plan B: Sainz/Danny Ric/Gio/Lewis?

    As well as the inspiring achievements, Sir Frank Williams was adored by his team for being an entirely selfless leader and racer - always planning their next win. Quietly happy in victory, sometimes with strong words softly spoken, but always with that smile.
