The Wire is shocked to hear of the sudden death of Steve Albini. Yesterday we were excited to announce the new issue of the magazine with a cover story on his group Shellac. Now it has become a memorial to Steve. We send our condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. RIP.
Happy Birthday to Marshall Allen, who turns 99 today.
“All I do is to still know nothing. I don’t know what I know. Just listen and try to feel what he is telling you to express.” Marshall Allen, The Wire 440, October 2020
