- The Environmental Audit Committee's session into extreme heat today is just beginning. This session is timely given the record-breaking temperatures we all experienced in May. You can tune in to the @CommonsEAC session here 👇 parliamentlive.tv/Event/Index/a0…Replying to @tobyperkinsmp @theCCCuk and 2 othersThe panel discussed ways to raise the public's awareness about extreme heat events, to help protect people and communities. Should we name heat waves, in the same way that we name storms? The Environmental Audit Committee's session on extreme heat has now wrapped up. Thanks to all the experts for giving evidence to the Committee and to everyone who tuned in!
- The dreadful murder of Henry Nowak and the inadequacy of the Police response is agonising viewing. We need IoPC investigation to discover what happened and why, but Henry Nowak was failed by Police response and we must find out why.
