When I lived with Alfonso, he made paella every week and we jokingly registered the house as “Paella Patio” I used to wake up on Sundays to strangers knocking on the door asking if paella was happening
A Google listing for “Paella Patio,” a Spanish restaurant with a 5.0-star rating from 53 reviews, marked “Permanently closed.” A review reads: “Alfonso and his team made my friends and I feel like personal guests in a backyard-like setting.” Below are three images: (1) hands toasting pisco sours around a small fire pit, (2) a close-up of a pan of paella with chicken and vegetables, and (3) a white plate with a slice of tortilla española next to a fork and knife on a wooden table.

Hopefully we can be complementary. It’s all about giving people the choice to use whatever setup works best for them

Took me 1 year (after 4.5 years of building) to raise that same amount for something that’s literally life-changing I agree the SV mindset is generally broken, but there are still people out there who genuinely care about making things better. To them, I’m forever grateful!

Almost every week for over a year. Sometimes multiple times a week to optimize the recipe faster. Alfonso was even considering starting a paella dark kitchen startup, but ended up building @crossmint instead.

Working everyday in Shenzhen Running Live Translation on AR glasses This Shenzhen engineer speaks Mandarin and I can follow in real time Then I speak English and my coworker translates back No delay. Total game changer working in China
Three men are gathered in a design meeting inside a modern glass-walled conference room. One man is seated, wearing a light-colored t-shirt and glasses, while another stands behind him, holding a pink prototype or measuring tool to his forehead. Across the table, a third man listens and observes closely. The table holds open product boxes, a water bottle, notebooks, and laptops. A winking emoji partially covers the foreground. The scene suggests collaborative evaluation of a wearable device concept.
