I’ll do what the Mayor won’t do. My home is open in Epsom, if you need a place to stay tonight and a warm shower, please send me a dm, I have opened them. We are at our best when we come together in times like this

- Kia Ora @SeanPlunket, Tom here a breakfast producer. This is blatant misinformation. Breakfast receives no money from the PIJF, which you would know if you took five seconds to do any kind of research. You are misleading your audience and you know it
00:00 - #BREAKING In light of what happened over the weekend, Immigration NZ is now reviewing whether or not Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull is still able to travel to New Zealand on the basis of the NZeTA that she holds without obtaining a visa first. @TodayFM_nz
- When we told Auckland Deputy Mayor Desley Simpson that AT were ticketing cars in Browns Bay in the floods she was shocked. She said she would get on to it and called back into our show 30 minutes later to say they would all be rescinded. That’s leadership. @TodayFM_nz
- Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown has declined an interview with us on Tova tomorrow morning because he said and I quote in a text “I am playing tennis then anyway.” When I explained that we could have adjusted the time to one that would have suited him, he did not respond.
- Despite previously saying she would consider getting the Novavax if it was approved in New Zealand. Thames and Coromandel District Council mayor Sandra Goudie says she now won’t get it. She said she “did more research” and thought the drug was experimental.
- Casey Costello declined to appear on @Breakfaston1 this morning with her press secretary telling us that she was unavailable due to travelling to Waitangi. We said we could do the interview at any time between 5:30-9am that would suit her. She is on ZB, so looks like she was free
- Buried on page 18 of National tax policy plan they reveal they would scrap Labour’s public transport subsidies they announced this year. This would mean that the roughly additional 774,000 children and young people who were the benefactors of cheaper fares would see them go up
- An outrageous press conference from Wayne Brown. He repeated twice that he supposedly called the state of emergency “immediately” upon receiving the advice from CDEM. But the Mayor would have well known this was in his tool box and I am sure could have issued the request earlier
- For the past seven days Wayne Brown hasn’t fronted to any media. His team have put out plenty of press releases, which is great, but it means no one can question what is in them. I feel bad for the designated person in his office who politely turns down my request each day
- When a reporter asked about the text I had received from the Mayor for declining an interview on Friday morning saying and I quote “I am playing tennis then anyway,” The Mayor told him “You’ve got that wrong mate.” Now WhatsApp messages prove what I said
- Kia ora @nzherald, I’m not one to call out fellow news organisations because it’s normally below the belt. This is different. My family has experienced loss due to suicide. The headlines here romanticises the topic and click baits a tragic story. When so many kiwis have 1/2
