It is OUTRAGEOUS that less than 30% of our subway system is accessible by elevator. We had billions of dollars set. We had the cameras ready. And then the rug was pulled from under us. Here is the deal. Flip the switch! Start the funding! ADD THE ELEVATORS!

I want to thank President Trump and Secretary Duffy for their efforts to halt the current congestion pricing program. While I have consistently expressed openness to a form of congestion pricing, the current program lines the MTA’s pockets at the expense of New Jerseyans.

I agree with NYS Senator @LizKrueger’s op-ed on why @GovKathyHochul can’t legally stop congestion pricing unilaterally less than 30 days before it was due to start. The law is clear: the only way forward for the @MTA and our region is to implement congestion pricing.

Congestion pricing is a generation-defining policy. It will bring our transit system into the 21st century, and any further delays will only exacerbate the pollution and congestion that New Yorkers face every day. The program must be allowed to go forward now!

The last 3 days were an entirely manufactured crisis. New Yorkers made their voices heard to protect a life-saving policy that is settled law. We shouldn’t be doing a bail out, because guess what? We have a way to pay for capital projects: it’s called congestion pricing.

I said what I said: we need congestion pricing yesterday. Without it, crucial accessibility and infrastructure projects will halt, allowing our transit system to deteriorate. We must implement congestion pricing now!

Congestion pricing is a working class issue. Our public transit system supports our working class and congestion pricing funds transit. It will speed up emergency response times (save lives), make deliveries easier (good for business), and reduce emissions (good for the 🌎) (1/3)

We have a message for the governor. Bail reform IS public safety. Leaders look at data and how human lives are affected. Turning back the progress we’ve made would be surrendering to fear mongering and a denial of the facts. I’m urging the governor: keep bail reform intact!
