- At @Optimism we are building the future of Ethereum. Don’t get caught up in the recent alt L1 narratives, it’s still incredibly attractive to launch an OP Stack based L2. Welcome to the Superchain @Ronin_Network!Powering Ronin’s Homecoming to Ethereum with the OP Stack Welcome to Ronin, @Optimism ⚔️ Last week, the Ronin Governing Validators voted to adopt Optimism’s OP Stack as an L2 provider. Ronin is coming home to Ethereum, and Optimism is making it possible. Today, the OP Stack
- Optimism is building the CosmosSDK of EVM equivalent rollups with Bedrock
- Stripe building an L1 instead of an L2 means that they aren’t targeting existing crypto users. They don’t care about the network effect that Ethereum has today. There are a lot of people that just want something that works for their use case and won’t go outside of those rails
- What happens when EIP-1559 burns all the ETH
- Replying to @trent_vanepps @lightclients and @LedgerIf we get support in the app that runs on the device itself, then we can start getting support in the wallet frontends that are widely used Looks like there is an open issue here: github.com/LedgerHQ/app-e…
- 1/ The first @EthInteropForum brought our community together to formulate a shared goal and align on next steps. What’s next?
- At EthDenver, the @optimismPBC team implemented EIP 1153 - transient storage opcodes! This EIP dates back to 2018, and was recently brought back into interest by @sendmoodz due to its usefulness for smart contract developers
- Extremely simple ways of communicating goals enables coordination to scale. When Solana says "increase bandwidth, reduce latency" it aligns the community while creating space for individuals to figure out the details required to make it happen. One could fearmonger and say that
- Replying to @gakonstBased rollups. Why would you want to delegate the liveness of your app to unaccountable third parties and expose your users to the MEV supply chain? Own the end to end experience without compromising on the property rights of users, censorship resistance and ability to exit
- If you don't think we can build a better world, we will never be able to
- The easiest way to build a stage 2 rollup is to not have a canonical bridge. Over the coming years, we will learn what the real product requirements are and what the cargo cult ideas are. There is a push to have L1 be the canonical asset hub with low latency asset portability
- Ethereum needs single slot finality and faster block times for L2s to be truly competitive with Malachite chains
