- Kai is truly one of those experiments that I still ponder. It improved the pacing, but only covered half the story. It gave us an HD remaster of Z, but with odd redraws/coloring. It gave us weaker JP performances but the absolute best English-dubbed DB content out there. Wild.Happy 15th birthday to Dragon Ball Kai! In 2009, in celebration of Dragon Ball Z's 20th anniversary, @ToeiAnimation and Fuji TV re-aired the iconic shounen anime, but now, it would be a filler-less version that's more faithful to the latter 325 chapters of the Dragon Ball manga!
