Heading home from #FIFAWorldCup festivities? Only use official taxi services or ride-share apps to travel from tournament venues, events, and hotels. Stay safe and don’t make yourself a target for scams.

Severe weather can happen fast & every area may face different risks. Know what hazards are in the forecast where you live - whether it’s tornadoes, flooding, damaging winds or hail. Make a plan, prepare your emergency kit & have multiple ways to receive alerts.

Heavy rain could bring dangerous flooding to parts of TX, LA & MS over the next several days — check your forecast, keep emergency alerts on, follow instructions from local officials, and NEVER drive through floodwaters. Always remember to Turn Around, Don’t Drown!

Have you ever received an emergency alert on your phone? That’s thanks to @fema's Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS)! In an emergency, public safety officials can use IPAWS to send Wireless Emergency Alerts to cell phones in a specific area.
