It’s not a loss. It’s being cash flow negative. If you can’t carry the mortgage costs as a landlord, you’re overleveraged. Your tenant’s rent still contributes to your purchase of your rental property. No one owes you a positive cash flow for your purchase you couldn’t afford.

So landlords should rent their property out at a loss…?

…well within your rights to not pay a penny more than the agreed-upon amount as outlined in your lease? 🤷🏾‍♂️

After a grilling from Global BC’s Neetu Garcha (on reconciliation, housing, Bill 21, feminism, and Afghanistan), Prime Minister Justin Trudeau complains that he didn’t get to talk about what he wanted to talk about — then gets scorched for it. 😬 #cdnpoli

Begging for an election for the past 18 months and then saying “we’ll see you in 12 months for another election!” 😤 as you lose an election in real time is super cringe, guys.

A career politician who gamed the system for a two-million-dollar pension by his mid-40s — with literally just one piece of legislation to show for it — is in no position to call anyone a "political grifter".

British Columbia's Residential Tenancy Branch ruled that if a landlord's mortgage payments on their rental property go up (higher interest rates), the landlord can jack up their tenant's rent to cover those costs. Government protecting landlord profits! Landlords win again!🙌

There was literally a trade agreement (USMCA) that all three countries including (including the first Trump administration) ratified five years ago. The existing tariffs were agreed upon. Trump started this current trade war. Period. Ignorant, uneducated, and terrible take👇

The landlord is obligated to pay back a debt according to the terms (and risks) that they accepted. The renter (in the RTB decision) is paying an increased rent outside of their lease agreement and outside of the spirit of the rules for allowable rent increases.

The Governor of the Bank of Canada tells employers to not give pay raises to Canadians workers because of inflation. Yet, the Bank of Canada gave itself $45-million in raises/bonuses over the pandemic... because they were so good at managing inflation?🤔

Folks are very mad at me for saying that John Rustad “pandered to conspiracy theorists”… …when he talked about kids being forced to eat bugs; attributed climate action to the “fact” of a de-population agenda; and supported (but backtracked on) the idea of “Nuremberg 2.0”. 🧵
