In CD7, Spanberger now leads by 5,134 votes after Henrico County posts 14,616 central absentee votes that were overlooked on Election night. Officials overlooked the ballots, which were saved on a memory stick mislabeled as "provisional ballots." bit.ly/38cjKLJ

Chesterfield reports in-person early vote tally, which was enough to call 4 House races. We project Del. Lashrecse Aird (D-Petersburg) will lose her seat, giving the House GOP +6 and a 1-seat majority in the House of Delegates. bit.ly/3bxnDv8

We've seen tweets from Democrats claiming that in Post-Roe #Virginia, early voting is surging among younger voters and women. So far, the numbers don't back that up. As of Thursday, % of women and younger early voters statewide is down slightly compared to last year.

At 1:30 am, our team was leaving the office when a couple passing by looked at us and then up at the sign above our door. "Are you VPAP?" they asked. They had been following the election night results and asked of they could take a selfie with us. A flattering end to a long night

As it stands right now (and everything is unofficial), Democrats would hold a 55-45 majority when the General Assembly convenes in January. bit.ly/36yQZ8x

We have corrected our results in HD85. Instead of a Democratic hold, Republican Karen Greenhalgh has a 202-vote lead over first-term Democrat Alex Askew. This is in recount territory, a margin of 7/10ths of 1% of votes cast. --> MORE
