Today I won my first paper award & I’m so happy!🥹Based on my quant+qual comparative diss studies on gender, racialization & class in comm, I wrote about how we can conduct ethical & historically grounded research on racialization in the Americas. Thank you #IICD div @NatComm!!!

These are hard days for students with visas, filled with uncertainty and vulnerability, but I also just passed my dissertation proposal defense in front of a stellar committee that I’m so thankful for. I kind of can’t believe it ❤️😭! Stay strong fellow international students!
