Just got the word. Surgery is scheduled for Wednesday. Miss Emery will begin the journey of 3 specific HLHS surgeries to adapt her underformed heart and give her a chance at life. This 1st in the series of 3 is the most dangerous and also will take the longest. An estimate of 12

I pray this will reach everyone who was kind enough to pray for my new granddaughter Emery yesterday. After a 7hr surgery, she is "stable" for now. There is no doubt that your prayers were heard by our almighty God and were answered. It's hard to put into words what that means

Just waking up from one of the longest days of my life. The sun is shining, the crisp air of a Oct morning in the Midwest and my warrior Emery who battled thru 12 hours of reconstructive surgery on her tiny heart and came out the other side to her Mom & Dad's waiting arms. A
