Dear @dotkrueger, I noticed you’re a Stanford PhD - someone who surely values accuracy and citing sources. Your chart shows Solana with ~30% of stablecoin market share, but the real number is closer to 4% (about 8x smaller). I even struggled to fit the Solana label in my chart.

Layer 2s currently pay over $300k per day to the Ethereum L1 in rent. That's 30x more than 90 days ago. Most of it ($250k) goes towards paying for Blobs Great for Ethereum but it also comes at a cost for users - median txcosts are also up quite a bit (still mostly cheap though)

Sad to see this nonsensical post with this much engagement. ETH's issuance has been going down since launch. Yes, it's not always deflationary, and that's totally ok. Its average issuance is still way lower than the issuance of Gold or Bitcoin, and it's currently capped at 1.51%

Why did @base measured Throughput drop? Is scaling over? Nope - we are learning and iterating. A new vocab for most: Elasticity. So far, Base slowly increased its gas limit, week after week, while keeping the gas target at 50% of the gas limit -> 2x Elasticity On June 19th,

Today, we introduce a new thesis: MEV has become the dominant limit to scaling blockchains. Spectacularly wasteful onchain searching is starting to consume most of the capacity of most high-throughput blockchains. This is a market failure we can no longer ignore.
