    Boris Johnson highlights Brampton Manor Academy sending more students to Oxbridge than Eton as an example of "levelling up". Brampton Manor is a super selective sixth form. It is very far from being a comprehensive.

    Today I spoke to a young man, Saeed. He's an unaccompanied refugee in care. Came to UK in 2016. Got 8s and 7s at GCSE. Offer to study at Manchester and was predicted ABB. Downgraded to BCE. Missed his offer. Can't get a place elsewere. "Stuck". inews.co.uk/news/education… @theipaper

    The government has quietly slipped out new honours just before the Easter break. An eye-catcher in there: Tory donor Mohamed Mansour, who gave a whopping £5m to the party last year, is handed a knighthood.
