One of the men arrested in this video is our colleague Al-Araby Correspondent Diaa Kahlot, along with his family, who are most definitely not members of Hamas. He and other captives were stripped naked in the street and taken to an unknown location. Journalism is not a crime!

Moammar has been searching for his brother for 39 years, arrested by Syrian soldiers in Lebanon when he was 18. He hadn’t heard anything from him since. Until Thursday, when his brother emerged from Hama prison as an old man, 39 years later.

Rebels are still struggling to navigate the sprawling prison complex, which is built like a labyrinth. Inside the cells, the prisons look like hell on earth. Tiny, cramped, walls filled with scrawled handwriting from detainees past. Medieval cages where prisoners were kept.

Good natured, brave and a humanitarian, Ali Alam, director of Dar Amal hospital in Baalbek, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on his home today. He cracked all of us journalists up, despite the horrific situation. He refused to leave the hospital despite the danger to himself

Israel just carried an airstrike near Kola intersection in Beirut, the first time it has struck Beirut outside of the southern suburbs since the war started. Kola intersection is a popular reference point in Beirut, where taxis and buses gather to pick up awaiting passengers.
