You think that has power? Meet the real deal. 670,000 lbs with max tractive torque over 26,000 lb-ft. Fully⚡️, moves 1200 people, lasts 40 yrs and helps save the 🌎. #transit
Tragic news at DCA tonight & our thoughts are with victims. @wmata has sent warming buses to support rescue and we are working to assist @Dulles_Airport w/ diverted flights by running extra Silver Line trains & to keep Silver open later to get people downtown. More info to come
America’s Transit System giving it 100% on America’s Birthday. Joined my colleagues on platforms to deliver ~2min 🚇 frequency for 90mins to clear thousands of people post 🎆. Just ❤️ this TEAM! Thanks for riding! #wmata
👇Another frustrating example of the bias framing about transportation safety. The story, trolley collided w/ a car. Reality, the driver of the car ran a red light and crashed into a trolley! Transit is superior to car safety so let’s hold drivers accountable for their actions.
A SEPTA trolley and a car collided early Sunday morning in the city’s Kingsessing neighborhood injuring four people and causing the trolley to derail in yet another mishap involving the transit system.

Great example of why people can’t always believe what they read on twitter. Metro is running normal service. It’s a disservice to the team’s hard work delivering service despite this global IT issue and to customers who rely on the service. Never apologies just faster tweets…
Reminder that for the 1st time since 2016 your Metro 🚇 system is open until 2am on Friday and Saturday nights (open at 6am Sat/Sun morning too)! Another @wmata investment to better connect and serve our customers and region!
WOW! 23 years ago today I met a girl on the subway in Boston on my way to a Sox game. Lots of 🚇&🚌 trips later all over the world and she somehow has kept me around. Like I’ve said before, you can’t meet people driving a 🚙. Transit ❤️
