My editor told me the word ‘cunt’ might turn off readers. I mean… okay, but also, sometimes a character is a cunt and that’s like the only word that works. What do you say??

I had a literary agent once. Didn't get a book deal when we went on sub and we parted ways. Without an agent I've signed 7 book deals (including the one he couldn't sell). YOU CAN DO THIS in a variety of ways. And guess what, I still query agents from time to time 😉

I just got a no from a publisher I queried nearly a year ago for my novel that’s debuting in July ‘23. I politely responded and they wrote me back immediately with a big congratulations and said when my presale link goes live to send it and they will buy a copy! #2023debuts #YA

Anyone else publishing with a small trad publisher find it super annoying when people try and make you feel inferior because you aren't with a big house. Like, I put in JUST AS MUCH WORK as you did! 100's of queries, cp's, betas, editors, ALL THE THINGS! #2023debuts #YA
