I am truly humbled by this. It means a lot to me. The students probably didn’t know that a lot of the advice they received from me were given by other colleagues in our department, who patiently answered my questions about mentoring via long phone calls, emails, and meetings.
Since 2019, graduate students recommend and vote on a faculty member who has gone above and beyond in mentoring graduate students. GSS is pleased to name Professor @xisong as the 2021-2022 Mentor of the Year! 🎉
