- When I first learned about crypto, I watched a lot of @RealVision and in one of their videos @RaoulGMI talked about how the visions of Bitcoin and Defi are compatible, we just need to use Bitcoin as the collateral. I loved that idea. It took us three long years, but we finallyI've mapped out Bitcoin ecosystem in the trust + decentralization spectrum. @goNativeCC stands out thanks to @ikadotxyz and @SuiNetwork. - Today we released our Threshold FHE paper - the first that can be used by nodes of a decentralized network for threshold decryption of FHE ciphertexts. We had the pleasure of working with Prof. Zvika Brakerski on this one. A single key insight enabled it all π§΅Excited to release our Threshold FHE paper! - So the author of Caith Sith found that identifiable abort (IA) is very hard to achieve in practice and details the various reasons for it (cronokirby.com/posts/2022/06/β¦). All true! it is difficult in practice and IA papers like GG20 underspecify the implementation, so does ours - itsit's another long and technical post, BUT i'll be running a meme-off competition with prizes in the comments - more details at the end of the post. you're not sure about 20% bft? how does 0% sound? now that we've discussed reducing the byzantine fault tolerance (bft) from 33%

- When we found out we can work with powers-of-two plaintext spaces using REFHE, the first thing that came to mind was: wait so we can work with 2^64 machine words? Youβre saying that we have an FHE scheme that behaves like *encrypted CPU registers*???π§΅1/12 We're excited to share REFHE: Fully Homomorphic ALU, our new paper introducing an FHE scheme that natively supports both arithmetic and logical operations on 64-bit machine words. This is a step toward treating FHE not as a circuit model - but as a real compute model.
