    Waking up to eight deaths is sad enough and then you see the level of desensitization and disregard for human life casually shown in a lot of the videos floating from Astroworld. I don’t even know how you fix that.

    Teachers never get enough respect and people have been especially awful to them in the plague so it makes me very happy to see one be treated with kindness and gratitude. The smiles say everything.

    My mom recently told me that the first year Juneteenth became a holiday in Texas, the white medical staffers all took off to force their Black counterparts to work that day. That vileness still permeates Texas/nationwide & that’s so depressing, but she also said celebrate anyway.
