Rules

 

Projects must be built during the hackathon time only.

 

All work must be submitted through a public GitHub repository.

 

Use of GitHub and GitHub Copilot is mandatory.

 

Follow fair coding practices. Plagiarism or copied projects will be disqualified.

 

Maintain respectful and collaborative behaviour throughout the event.

 

 

Eligibility

 

Open to students, beginners, and developers of all levels.

 

Participants must have a GitHub account.

 

No prior experience with GitHub or Copilot is required.

 

 

Project & Submission Requirements

 

Participants must submit:

 

A public GitHub repo link

 

A README describing the project idea, features, and usage of GitHub/Copilot

 

A visible commit history, branches, PRs, or contributions

 

Optional: demo video or screenshots

 

Project should be original and created within the event duration.

Judging Criteria & Winner Selection

 

Judges will evaluate projects based on:

 

Best Use of GitHub: commits, branching, PRs, workflows, collaboration

 

Creativity & Innovation: uniqueness and impact of the idea

 

Use of GitHub Copilot: effectiveness of AI-assisted development

 

Technical Execution: code quality, functionality, and clarity

 

Documentation: clear README, setup steps, and explanation

 

Presentation: clarity in demo or repository write-up

 

Winners will be selected based on total score across these criteria.
