“It’s the best job in the world!” Our bus drivers shared their love of their job as we shared our love of their service this morning at our annual Bus Driver Appreciation Breakfast. Wellstar Health System sponsored the special morning at our Woodstock and Holly Springs bus shops, distributing breakfast and swag bags to our amazing bus drivers, technicians, routing specialists and other team members who keep our 400-plus buses rolling.

It’s Educational Audiologist Awareness Week! Please join us in thanking CCSD audiologists Dr. Jan Henriques and Dr. Tonya Nussbaum for their unparalleled talent and unmatched dedication in supporting our students with hearing and balance disorders.

The Cherokee County School Board is building bridges with the Cherokee County Legislative Delegation toward the goal of working more collaboratively to benefit our community’s children.

We’re growing teacher leaders!  More than 350 CCSD teacher leaders are participating in this school year’s Cherokee Instructional Leadership Collaborative program. The successful program began last school year with its inaugural class and recently kicked off learning for a second school year.

It’s National School Custodian Day!  Please join us in thanking our amazing school custodians for all they do to keep our schools safe and clean for our students, teachers and staff, volunteers, and visitors.  They help set the conditions for student success!

Congratulations to the school and division winners for our ninth annual Support Staff Employees of the Year Awards!  Award winners are selected by their school or division colleagues, and everyone who works in a support role is eligible for the honor -- from school nurses to front office staff to paraprofessionals to cafeteria staff and many, many more people critical to our successful operations.
