House rules.
Be the person you'd want across the table.
Curious, kind, a bit generous with attention. Let everyone speak.
If you took a seat, show up — or free it.
Tables only happen because people committed. Every email has a “free my seat” link. Use it; nobody minds.
No recording, no selling.
Don't record without everyone's yes. Don't pitch. Don't collect people's details.
The host keeps the table.
Hosts can remove someone from their table. If something felt wrong, write to [email protected] — a human reads it.
Say something if something is off.
Every message in a room can be reported with one tap, and three reports hide it until a person looks. Reports go to a real inbox, not a queue. If you would rather write, [email protected] is read the same day.
Why so few rules.
A table with three to eight people who chose to be there mostly looks after itself. These rules cover the two things that break that: people who do not turn up, and people who turn a hangout into something else. Everything else is just being decent.
You must be 13 or older. Harassment, hate, anything sexual involving a minor, or anything illegal gets an account closed without a warning. See our child safety standards.
