How is this different from Google Drive or Dropbox?
Drive and Dropbox are storage. They hand over the file, so anyone with the link can download it, keep it, and forward it, and you get no view data at all. vitelnk streams instead of transferring: there is no file to grab, every link carries its own rules, and every view is logged with a timestamp. You can revoke a single link without disturbing anyone else's access.
How is this different from an unlisted YouTube or Vimeo link?
Unlisted is not private, it is just hidden. One forward and anyone can watch, and you will never know it happened. YouTube also puts ads and competitor recommendations around your video. vitelnk gives you one link per person, password and expiry options, download blocking, and a per-viewer record of who watched what.
Do viewers need an account?
No. By default they click and watch. If you need a formal record of who accessed something, you can turn on viewer registration for that link. Useful for compliance or client sign-off, optional everywhere else.
How does download protection actually work?
Videos stream over HLS, which breaks the file into encrypted chunks. There is no single file URL to copy. Right-click saving does not work, and common downloader extensions get blocked. It is not studio-grade DRM, but it stops the overwhelming majority of casual download attempts.
Can I take access away after I have sent the link?
Yes. Revoke any link at any time and it stops working immediately, including for people who already opened it. You can also set an expiry date up front so access closes itself, or make a link single use so it dies after one view.
Is tracking viewers a privacy or GDPR problem?
Tracking is scoped to the link you personally sent. The viewer opens a link you gave them, and you see watch depth and CTA clicks for that session. Nothing is planted on third-party sites. For compliance-sensitive work, viewer registration gives you an explicit record of who accessed what and when.
Can I still share something publicly?
Yes. Create a link with no password and no restrictions and it behaves like any normal video link, except you keep the analytics. Access level is a per-link decision, not a per-account one.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. 14 days with full access to all Professional features. A card is required to start, but you won't be charged until day 15, and you can cancel any time before that for free.
What happens to my videos if I cancel?
Existing links keep working until your subscription ends. After that the links stop resolving, but your original files are not deleted immediately, so you will have time to download your uploads. We don't hold your content hostage.
What files can I upload?
