About_
I started my journey in 1999 at “argonauten”, during the early days of the web. As head of IT, I helped grow the company into one of Germany's largest digital agencies. Learned a lot about technology, development, strategic conception and team leadership - and about thinking in terms of brands, audiences and real user value.
Self-employed since 2005. First building websites and smaller applications on WordPress. With Laravel from version 5.3 onwards, the focus shifted to demanding web applications.
Today I lead and build larger platform projects for agencies and direct clients: complex websites, SaaS products, member and customer portals, solutions for process digitisation. Responsible for architecture, code quality and the interplay of brand, user experience, business model and technology.
Much of what I work with every day is open source. I try to give back regularly by contributing improvements to the projects I benefit from.
