    AI detectors don't read who wrote your text — they read statistical patterns in it. The uncomfortable result: careful, well-structured writing gets flagged MORE often. The more careful you are, the more "AI" you look. Nobody warns students about this part.

    The core problem: Turnitin uses a single detection engine making a binary judgment on something inherently probabilistic. Same essay, different detectors = wildly different scores. One tool says 10% AI, another says 70%. When your degree is at stake, one tool's guess isn't enough
