Narcan can mean the difference between an opioid overdose and a second chance. As fatal overdoses in Tempe begin to climb again, the city is making free Narcan kits more accessible at Tempe fire stations, the Tempe EnVision Center and public CPR classes.

Before heading to boat school, officers have to pass a survival swim — 5 minutes of treading water and a 200-meter swim, all in full gear. Tempe is one of the few local agencies with its own PD boat, giving our officers a unique opportunity to train & patrol on Tempe Town Lake.
