When I was growing up in Sacramento, California, it was the dawn of arcades.
My parents (especially my father) enjoyed gambling and they took us up to Lake Tahoe a lot. They dropped us off at the arcade at Harrah's casino, gave us a bunch of quarters, and then went off to gamble.
